Davenport University’s College of Arts and Sciences offers an online Master of Science (MS) in Data Analytics program with an interdisciplinary curriculum developed in conjunction with the school’s College of Business, College of Technology, and College of Health Professions. It uses a cohort model, which means that groups of students progress through the program together, taking two courses per semester sequentially for five semesters, or two-and-a-half years. It culminates in an Applied Data Analytics Capstone project during the final semester.

The online MS in Data Analytics program at Davenport University relies primarily on asynchronous instruction, which means that students have access videotaped lectures and other course materials on-demand, 24-7. Other assignments and coursework is provided asynchronously, which means that students can access and complete various class activities on their own schedule provided they keep up with course syllabi. The University of Michigan has three admissions dates per year for its online MADS program, in the spring, summer, and fall.

The College of Engineering & Computer Science at the University of Michigan-Dearborn offers an online Master of Science in Computer and Information Science degree with a Data Management and Analytics concentration. This is a master’s in data science program with a curricular focus on the tools and technologies used to collect, process, and interpret large and complex datasets, and courses in artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and computational game theory. Student can choose from a thesis or non-thesis research project track, and can complete the program in 16-24 months of full-time enrollment. Part-time students have up to five years to finish the requirements.
