Online MSW program applicants should also take into account that field education is an integral component of earning a master’s degree in social work. Field placements must be completed in person at a program-approved site. Louisiana residents who are considering an online program offered by an out-of-state school should contact a program representative about potential fieldwork sites prior to submitting an application.

Note: Completing a master’s degree in accounting can provide academic preparation for CPA licensure. However, licensing requirements vary by state. Students who intend to sit for the CPA exam after completing an online master’s in accounting program, particularly a program offered by an out-of-state school, should review Louisiana’s licensing requirements and program curricula prior to submitting applications to ensure that a program will provide the necessary training and instruction for CPA licensure in Louisiana.
