The University of Southern California (USC) Sol Price School of Public Policy offers an online Executive Master of Health Administration (EMHA) degree program. This program is specifically designed for healthcare managers who hold at least five years mid to upper level management experience and wish to further their management education and enter executive positions in the healthcare industry. Executive students gain leadership skills which focus on future vision and transformation of healthcare management and patient quality of care.

The curriculum covers five key areas which integrate into a comprehensive education for the executive leader. Examples of course topics include: Six Sigma and Lean methodology, health care information technology, issues related to governmental regulations, patient quality of care, health care economics, health care management, and effective leadership.

The USC Executive MHA program is delivered mostly online with two, 5-day campus residencies required at the campus in Los Angeles, CA. The first residency takes place at about the end of the third semester, and the second is a capstone residency in the final semester of the program during the four-credit capstone course. This 36-credit program is designed for working professionals and can be completed in two years, part-time. Courses last 14 to 15 weeks over six semesters.

USC utilizes a combination of Moodle and Adobe Connect to deliver course content and interactivity. Moodle is an open source Learning Management System (LMS) that hosts asynchronous course content, assignments, and discussion boards. Adobe Connect is used to deliver synchronous online classes. Through Adobe, students and faculty can meet through video conferencing, share whiteboards and screens, conduct live polls, chat, and share documents.
