The College of Nursing and Health Innovation at Arizona State University (ASU) offers an online Bachelor of Science in Health Care Coordination degree. This program focuses on patient care coordination, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle maintenance in order to improve patient health and reduce systemic and personal financial burden.

Topics covered include health education and advocacy, community health, health care systems, ethics in health care, and health care policy. Students are encouraged to explore internship opportunities. Graduates may go on to careers in social and human services, community health, health education, healthcare support, and patient representation.

The BS in Health Care Coordination can be completed in four years on a full-time basis and begins every 7.5 weeks. The program is 100% online with no campus visits required. ASU requires ACT/SAT scores from applicants with a GPA below 3.0 in high school competency courses, and from applicants not in the top 25% of their high school graduating class.

Each student at Arizona State University starts with an online orientation to learn to navigate the online Learning Management System (LMS). Courses are taught asynchronously through recorded videos, online simulations, labs, assignments, and testing. Students interact with peers and faculty through conferencing and multimedia tools.

The Bachelor of Science in Health Care Coordination degree comprises 120 credits through 40 courses, which last 7.5 weeks each. In addition to general degree requirements, upper-level courses may include Health Literacy for Health Care Professionals; Policy and Financial Principles in Health Care Coordination; Professional Role Development: Health Care Coordination; Leadership and Change; Evidence-Based Practice for the Health Care Professional; and Health Innovation: Foundational Concepts. In addition students complete the Health Care Coordination Capstone.
