Maryville University - Online Master of Science in Accounting with a Bridge Program for Non-Accounting Majors
The John E. Simon School of Business at Maryville University offers an online Master of Science in Accounting degree program. This program is CPA-focused, leading students in preparation for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam, through the Becker CPA exam preparation courses that are woven into the curriculum. This allows students to sit for the exam without additional studying and preparation. Curriculum topics covered throughout the program include managerial accounting, strategic accounting, financial statement analysis, planning, budgeting, auditing, accounting research, tax planning, communications, and financial reporting.
Students with a bachelor’s degree in accounting follow the regular degree path completing 30 credits in just 10 months. Students without a background in accounting follow a bridge program which requires up to 30 additional credits to complete the degree, for a possible total of 60 credits. Time to completion of the bridge program depends on prior schooling. The MS in Accounting program is 100% online and does not require any campus visits.
