The LMS also allows students to participate in discussion groups, contact instructors, and upload assignments.
Utica University’s online MS-DS program is built around a core of five courses in data science and analytics: Introduction to Data Science; Statistical Methods; Data Mining; Machine Learning; and Data Visualization. Another core component of the curriculum is a final project, which students can complete in the form of a master’s thesis or a capstone project. In addition to the core curriculum, students enroll in four courses that align with a specialization. The Business Analytics specialization requires Advanced Financial Management, Core Topics in Management, and Financial Fluency I & II. The Social Science specialization requires Science and Social Power, Community and Social Change, Complex Organizations, and Demography. The Financial Crime specialization includes courses in Financial Investigations, Advanced Fraud Analysis, Data-Driven Decision-Making, and Financial Crime and Compliance Management. And the Cybersecurity curriculum includes classes in Cyber Data Fusion, Open Source Cyber Surveillance, Cyber Intelligence, and Cyber Counterintelligence. Students who opt for a General Data Science specialization may choose four graduate-level electives to complete the 30 credits required for graduation.
