Saint Leo University, founded in 1889, has been named a "Leading Southern University" by U.S. News & World Report. In addition, it is one of the US's largest providers of education to the U.S. armed forces around the world. Saint Leo University has one of the largest completely online degree programs available.

With a total of more than 14,000 students enrolled, Saint Leo University has approximately 3,000 students on its main campus, 7,600 on military bases around the world and almost 4,500 students currently enrolled in the Center for Online Learning.

The University's roots are in the 1,500-year old Benedictine tradition, which stresses a balanced growth in mind, body and spirit. The online campus continues this tradition. Students are encouraged to participate in the online community in order to voice their opinions and learn and respond to others doing the same. In this manner, students grow and expand their awareness of others and the world around them.
