This often forms a potent combination of IS expertise and business acumen, which many employers desire and appreciate. Often you can choose to focus your IS degree into a specific area of training or technological platform such as Microsoft, Oracle, or CISCO expertise.

You can earn an associates, bachelors, or masters degree in IT. Even if computers and technology are your passion and you already feel as if you know a lot about them, most companies will still require you have a college degree for IT positions. At the very least, for entry-level positions you should have an associates or some kind of professional certification. Of course, if you have a four-year degree, you're far more likely to work your way into higher-paying, senior positions, and if you have a graduate degree, you're likely to fit into management or leadership.
